Sharing the Love

Celebrating its ninth year of its Share the Love campaign in 2019, Subaru Hawaii donated $250 for every new Subaru purchased in Hawaii to three nonprofit organizations across the state focused on Subaru's causes. The campaign, which ran from November 1 to December 31, 2019 was intended to increase awareness and financially benefit nonprofit organizations in Subaru's focus areas of helping others in need, animals, and the environment.

In January of 2020, a presentation check of $15,000 each was presented to HUGS, Surfrider Foundation Hawaii, and Oahu SPCA.

We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.

Through the Subaru Hawaii Share the Love Event, HUGS has helped over 400 Hawaii families with a seriously ill child by providing important peer support activities, financial assistance and connections to community resources to help them navigate the many difficult challenges of life-threatening childhood illness.

Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.

Through the Subaru Hawaii Share the Love Campaign, Surfrider has been able to protect and enjoy our ocean through beach cleanups, citizen science, ocean friendly gardens, and more. Through hundreds of volunteers, over 6,000 pounds of trash was cleaned from our beaches in 2019.

Whether they live in our homes or in the world, Subaru is committed to keeping all animals safe and healthy.
